چکیده

A sensitivity analysis of heat transfers in an asymmetrically heated turbulent channel flow is performed using a dedicated transfer correlation. The investigated correlation developed to study the between fluid and wall gas-pressurized solar receivers concentrated power tower. working conditions correspond high-temperature levels high fluxes. Nusselt number depends on five parameters: Reynolds number, Prandtl temperature, hot cold temperatures. We investigate flux results obtained with global uncertainty management are compared direct computations errors measurement. In management, studied Taylor expansion function. This method assumes quasilinearity quasi-normality function; therefore, only small variations parameters computed. points out importance temperature measurement accuracy for evaluation flow. particular, show that very sensitive bulk fluid. less influenced by than wall. produces satisfying prediction error linked uncertainties temperature. Nevertheless, propagation poorly estimated method.

Simultaneous estimation of heat fluxes applied to the wall of a channel with turbulent flow using inverse analysis

The main purpose of this study is to estimate the step heat fluxes applied to the wall of a two-dimensional symmetric channel with turbulent flow. For inverse analysis, conjugate gradient method with adjoint problem is used. In order to calculate the flow field,   two equation model is used. In this study, adjoint problem is developed to conduct an inverse analysis of heat transfer in a channel...

Heat and Mass Transfer in Turbulent Multiphase Channel Flow

Direct numerical simulation is used to assess the importance of compressibility in turbulent channel flow of a mixture of air and water vapor with dispersed water droplets. The dispersed phase is allowed to undergo phase transition, which leads to heat and mass transfer between the phases. We compare simulation results obtained with an incompressible formulation with those obtained for compress...

Multiscale analysis of heat transfer in fully developed turbulent channel flow

An analysis is given for fully developed thermal transport through a wall-bounded turbulent fluid with constant heat flux supplied at the boundary. The analysis proceeds from the averaged heat equation and utilizes, as principal tools, various scaling considerations. The paper first provides an accounting of the relative dominance of the three terms in that averaged equation, based on existing ...
